Genesis
The genesis of Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) began in the early 1960s. Established in 1963 by the Indian government, KVs were created to provide uniform and high-quality education across the country. The primary aim was to cater to the educational needs of the children of central government employees, ensuring they received consistent and quality education regardless of their posting location.
The key objectives included:
Uniform Education System: Ensuring that children of central government employees received a standardized and high-quality education.
Promoting National Integration: Providing a common educational environment for students from different states and regions to foster national unity and cultural harmony.
Educational Excellence: Delivering superior education to facilitate the all-around development of students.
With the establishment of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), these schools have become a symbol of quality and equitable education in India.
